He works for a company that buys farm land and leases it to electric companies for windmills. He had a child before he was 21. Kate developed feelings for him, but he rejected her advances at first. After a flight was cancelled, he rented a car and invited Kate to drive 5 hours back to Kansas City. They shared their first kiss after arriving at Kate’s house.
